Hello I'm Jenny. I started my creative business – Dandylion Jack – back in 2011. I spent ten years successfully selling my card designs at trade shows and local markets alongside my job as a freelance art editor. I've always loved to walk and explore, I take hundreds of photos for inspiration, then start my designs with pencil/pen/paint/ink on paper, finishing them off digitally.

Endlessly fascinated and inspired by the beauty of the natural world, I'm particularly obsessed with birds, pebbles and plants. I see beautiful shapes, colours and patterns everywhere. My illustrations feature vibrant colours that evoke a sense of joy and I add an interesting fact about the design on the back of each card. I love to think that every card will put a smile on someone's face.

From my first thoughts of starting a creative business, I've always strived to minimise the impact of my processes on the environment. I'm committed (and love!) to use biodegradable, recycled and sustainably sourced FSC materials and no plastic. I'm passionate about all natural life, protecting our precious habitats and will always be looking for the most eco-friendly way to produce my work.

Back after a five year pause, I'm really excited for the next chapter of Dandylion Jack. I've been busy during that time with drawing, painting, collage, printing and studying surface pattern design. I'm now based back near Bristol where it all began and feel very lucky to at last have a dedicated studio workspace. I'm currently working on new card designs and a fabric collection or two!
